  I left home at almost 19 years of age after growing up in the Fin household. The feeling of total independence was overwhelming and wonderful! I fell in love with Mario; a man 31 years my senior. Because Mario was a Travel Agent, we travelled extensively to Europe in those first years, namely to Italy where I know my soul will always remain. I continued to work for Co.As.It as an Italian teacher. Roberto was born in 1988, followed by Renata in 1989. We married in 1991. We lived in Arncliffe, Yagoona & now in Banora Point on the N.S.W. Tweed Coast; where the lifestyle is pretty good. I still however love to visit Sydney to see my family, friends and in other words  …”get my Sydney
fix!” Now, Roberto is in Italy working, Renata has left home, finishing Uni & gaining her independence and I am teaching Language & Literacy in a Catholic High School. This is my fifth year in this role.  I am passionate about
all things Italian, cooking, teaching, walking and classical music; in
particular music of the early 16th & 17th century. The more I live
up here the more I fall in love with the beach lifestyle too. All
things creative feature heavily in my day to day life. I love finding
old things and making them new again. Call me a “ Shabby-Chic girl.” One day I would like to have a lengthy “sabbatical” in Italy where I can hopefully teach, travel and fill my soul with all things Italian and invite my entire family to visit me. |
